A very warm welcome to the Chandlings website. Browsing through this website one cannot fail to appreciate that Chandlings is a busy, vibrant school. The creation of a friendly, small school atmosphere within the structure of a much larger organisation, whilst enjoying the benefits of the stunning, spacious grounds, excellent facilities, huge and varied opportunities and extraordinarily talented and dedicated staff, is surely our forte and our mainstay. 
The Chandlings vision has always been to realise and nurture the talents and abilities of each individual.  By offering a platform to every child in all spheres of life be it academic, sporting, cultural, spiritual, or moral, we hope to encompass and develop the assets of everyone. We encourage excellence in everything and reward and celebrate excellence in anything.
 
We understand that children learn by example and respond positively to encouragement and praise.  As staff, we stand firmly by traditional expectations through exemplifying kindness, care and good manners and we see this reflected in the children.  Pupils at Chandlings are thoughtful and considerate; distinctly aware of and sensitive to the needs of others.
 
We expect the children here at Chandlings to ‘have a go’ and to do their best.  There is an insistence on participation across the school, shored up by a healthy level of competition. We make sure that the children are happy and relaxed about taking part in new and exciting challenges,  that they appreciate their own strengths and abilities and the genuine value of these characteristics in our community here at school and beyond – a real preparation for life.
