Geography

“To really understand the world, you need to get under the skin of the people and places. In other words, learn about geography. I can’t imagine a subject more relevant in schools”.  Michael Palin

Geography is related to our eating, our drinking, our clothing, our heating bills, our holiday plans, even choosing where to go shopping is a geographical dilemma. No matter how little you realise it, Geography touches our lives everyday.

At Chandlings, the teaching of Geography is related to the real world, both physical and human, where we realise that what is happening today and how our world is developing for the future is as important as the workings of the earth’s forces over millions of years.

In this time of rapid evolution and change we embrace technology, and yet we preserve a variety of teaching methods to foster interest, thinking skills, enquiry and enjoyment.

Our subject is supported by another website, Chandlings GeoActive, which can be found at http://chandlingsgeoactive.wordpress.com/
