STEM is an acronym for specific school subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. However, it isn't just about learning subject-specific content, it also focuses on learning a skill set that prepares children for adulthood. That means creativity, invention and innovation.
Through our STEM approach, we aim to inspire and foster curiosity, enabling children to experiment, build, create, observe, explore, question, problem-solve, collaborate and communicate. These are essential skills for the future. Built into our curriculum, there are several STEM projects, such as designing and building trebuchets (ancient catapults) and boats.
We celebrate STEM subjects during our annual STEM week. The week is full of fantastic events, talks, workshops, trips and shows for all ages. We also offer a wide provision of STEM-based after-school clubs for everyone.
